1) ALL RTO FACILITIES : WIAA provides all RTO related facilities to its members.

2) ISSUE OF DRIVER'S LICENSE : WIAA in conjunction with the RTO, issues learner's license to an individual member or his family (i.e. spouse, unmarried daughters & sons below 21 years). Permanent license applications are also accepted by WIAA & forwarded to RTO. On passing necessary tests, Permanent License is issued by RTO.

3) WIAA SCHOOL OF MOTORING : Members and their families can learn driving at a specified price, on the Simulator and on air-conditioned cars such as Maruti, Alto, Indica etc. Pick up within limited distance is provided at a nominal charge.

4) TRAINING IN SAFE & DEFENSIVE DRIVING : WIAA offers courses in Safe & Defensive driving, to drivers of vehicles carrying hazardous goods. This course is now mandatory under Central Motor Vehicles Rule #9, and Section 14[2]. Contact Training Dept for further details.

5) INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMIT : The Association issues International Driving Permit on the spot to its members. This permits motoring in other countries and eliminates the need for obtaining a separate license for each country.

6) DISCOUNTS & SPECIAL OFFERS : Members can avail of various discounts and special offers in hotels, car rentals, hospitals, auto parts etc on display of their WIAA membership card, in those establishments with whom the Association has a tie-up.

7) "SHOW YOUR CARD & SAVE" : is a new collaboration with the Automobile Association of America, whereby members can buy the WIAA-AAA discount card and avail of fabulous discounts in over 1,50,000 outlets abroad. The card is valid in U.S.A., Canada, Mexico, Australia, Japan, South Africa, South Korea & 27 ARC Europe countries. Since the discounts are often subject to change, members are requested to visit www.aaa.com and www.csaa.com for latest updates.

8) RECIPROCAL SERVICES FROM AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATIONS IN INDIA & ABROAD : WIAA membership carries with it, the virtual membership of all automobile associations in India. The Association has reciprocal arrangements with automobile associations & clubs all over the world, enabling members to avail of the services offered by these Associations and receive assistance when they travel abroad. The Foregin Touring Dept. provides information on travel abroad & custom carnets for temporary importation of vehicles into the countries to be visited.

9) 5% DISCOUNT ON INSURANCE PREMIUM : Issue and renewal of insurance policy and certificate is done for the members. Members are entitled to a rebate of 5% (or Rs. 200/-, subject to whichever is lesser) on their insurance premium.

10) 30% DISCOUNT ON MEDICLAIM INSURANCE : WIAA members can avail of a 30% discount on Mediclaim Insurance. For details, an Insurance Desk is set up at the Head Office.

12) TOWING SERVICES : Members whose vehicles are registered with the Association can avail of this facility through Road Service Dept. at Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

13) BPCL-WIAA AUTO CLINIC : In an innovative effort to provide members with better services, the above Auto Clinic was inaugurated in July 2005 at Petroleum & Minerals Ltd., 89, Veer Nariman Road, Mumbai - 20. Members can avail of 10% discount in labour charges on servicing rates (Tel. Nos: 22823384, 22821642).

14) FREE PUC CHECK : WIAA offers 2 free PUC checks per year, to its members at Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Please contact Road Service Dept. for details.

15) TAXATION MATTERS : All matters related to motor vehicle tax, municipal tax, transfer of vehicle ownership etc are handled by WIAA, which collects and pays taxes to the authorities for thousands of vehicles every year.

16) SURVEY OF VEHICLES : Members can get their vehicles surveyed by qualified assessors.

17) DISTANCE CERTIFICATES : WIAA provides "distance certificates" for various places in the country for commercial purposes at Rs. 50.00, for each distance certified.

18) PAYMENT OF FINES : On behalf of its members, the Association undertakes to pay fines for traffic offences at the various courts in Mumbai, after having received the requisite amounts from them.

19) DRIVER SERVICE : The Association provides services of professional drivers on 8-hour basis to its members.

20) LEGAL ADVICE : Advice is available on any matter arising out of the use and ownership of motor vehicles, such as disputes with insurance companies, road accidents, interpretation of taxation, traffic and other rules.

21) CAR STORAGE FACILITES : Are provided to members at specified rates in South Mumbai.

22) REST HOUSES AT PUNE & AHMEDABAD : Well-furnished rest houses are available at Pune and Ahmedabad. Members can contact Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad offices for details.

24) WIAA - CASTROL INSTITUTE OF MOTORING : WIAA, in collaboration with the Ahmedabad Education Society and Castrol India Ltd., has set up the WIAA - Castrol Institute of Motorin in Ahmedabad.
