A Face-to-Face Meeting of Car Manufacturers and Dealers was held on 16th December, along with Council for Fair Business Practices at the Walchand Hirachand Hall. Shri V.B. Haribhakti, President, CFBP and Shri. Nitin Dossa, Executive Chairman, WIAA, welcomed the gathering. |

Leading Car Manufacturers like Maruti Udyog Ltd, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Hyundai, Hindustan Motors, Honda City, Ford, and Car Dealer Representatives from Hans Motors, Vitesse, Mumbai Metro Motors, ABC Hyundai, Sai Service Station, Fortune Cars Navi Mumbai, Wasan Motors, Shreyas Motors, La Kozy Motors, Ratan Motors, Commercial Automobiles, attended the meeting.
Most of the complaints discussed were delay in getting parts of the cars that got damaged in the 26th July 2005 deluge, high cost of spares, frequent clutch and battery failures, poor service after sales provided by the car dealers.
Many complaints were answered by the Car Manufacturers to the satisfaction of the motorists.
Over 180 members attended the meeting, which was covered by CNBC, Press and Electronic Media. |

| Vintage Car Fiestas |
(a) An exclusive exhibition of 35 vintage cars and 12 two wheelers was organized by WIAA along with the Vintage & Classic Car Club of India from 21st January to 5th February 2006 at the Nehru Science Centre, Worli.
Amongst the models on display were Humber, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Studebaker, Austin, Buick, De'soto, Packard.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Shri. A. N. Roy, Commissioner of Police Mumbai. Shri. Satish Mathur, Joint Commissioner of Police-Traffic, was the Guest of Honour. Around 1000 people visited the exhibition. |

(b) The Annual VCCCI Vintage Car Fiesta was held on 26th February 2006. The Rally attracted entries from all over India and around 125 Vintage Cars participated in it.
The Fiesta began and concluded at Kala Ghoda, covering the suburbs of Mumbai enroute. The first car to be flagged off was Chrysler Convertible 1952-8 cylinder driven by Shri. A. N. Roy, Commissioner of Police, Mumbai. The second car was of Mr. Javed Ahmad, Inspector General of Police.
In the motorcycle segments, the oldest was 1911 Triumph owned by Mr. Nitin Dossa.
