WIAA holds prestigious AIT (Alliance de International Tourism) Meeting
The AIT Core Committee Meeting was held on 1st and 2nd September. 2004, at WIAA. Mumbai. AIT (Alliance de International Tourism) is a world body , consisting of the automobile associations of the world. It is seriously contemplating a merger with FIA (Federation International De L' Automobile), which is a world sporting body.
AIT consists of 4 divisions. Region II consists of Australia, Bangladesh. China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines. Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
This was the AIT Region II Core Committee Meet. The Core Committee comprises Sh. Nitin Dossa, who is the first Indian to be its President (and is also Vice-President. FIAA i.e. Federation of Indian Automobile Associations); 2 Vice-Presidents viz. Mr. Gorge Fairbairn (New Zealand), Mr. Y. M. Tunku Mudzffar Tunka Mustapha (Malaysia), and a Treasurer
Mr. S. P. Low (Singapore). The meeting was also attended by Mr. Lauchlan Mclntosh, Secretary (Australia).
The Core Committee met to discuss the pros and cons of merging the two world organizations. |
