WIAA - Mumbai Motor Show - putting car sales in top gear!
The Mumbai Motor Show from 25th-28th Feb. 2005 at Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai is to be the largest car-selling event of the year in India's commercial capital and largest metropolis. It will not only showcase the newest cars, vans, commercial vehicles and sports utilities, but will also be a cost effective platform to place your new models among thousands of car enthusiasts and industry members.

WIAA offers its members a Special Discount of 15% on the stall rates.
INDO PAK FRIENDSHIP CAR RALLY - on the road to cordiality.
An Indo Pak Friendship Car Rally will be held in the month of November, 2005. It will be the FIRST TIME that such a rally is held, where a private vehicle will cross the border between India and Pakistan, by road. The aim is to promote peaceful and friendly relations between the two countries.

WIAA is organizing the Rally for Vintage and Classic Cars under the aegis of Vintage and Classic Cars Club of India [ VCCCI ] and Motor Sports Association of India [ MAI ]. Necessary permissions have already been procured.
16th Road Safety Week from 3rd January 2005 to 9th January 2005
WIAA observed the Road Safety Week from 3rd January 2005 to 9thjanuary2005.

For the whole week, WIAA gave Free PUC checks to cars, Free battery checks & Free eye check up camps at various places forall road users.

The highlight of the programme was a skit on Road Safety, "AEY BHAI.ZARA DEKH KE CHALO"; based on Road Safety do's and don'ts while driving.

The concluding session was a "Drawing - cum - Slogan Competition On Safety" at the Children's Traffic Park at Cooperage for children in 3 categories : Under 12 years of age, Above 12 years of age and Handicapped. About 400 students who participated, had very innovative catchy slogans and wonderful thoughts on Road Safety.

Sh. Satish Mathur, Joint Commissioner of Police ( Traffic ) and Sh. P. Patankar, Deputy Commissioner of Police ( Traffic ) were the Chief Guests who graced the occasion.

WIAA expressed its concern about the 80,000 people killed in Road Accidents peryear, 3.5 lakh people getting injured or crippled and a National Loss of Rs. 55,000crores.

WIAA also expresses its concern about the education on Road Safety to be taken at the school level and syllabus should be introduced for primary school children.

The Police Band which played, made the function glamorous and pleasant.

The Safety Message which WIAA is carrying will definitely go a long way in making Roads Safer.
